Dear Parents/Guardians

Year Communion Services – Tuesday 9th February at 9.00 am

Each term year groups are able to share what I believe is one of the most spiritually enriching occasions of our school life, year communion services.  All pupils will be attending services at the above time in the following venues:-

 Year 7                        School Theatre

Year 8                        School, Post 16 Centre

Year 9                        Holy Trinity, City Centre

Year 10                      Christ Church, Frankpledge Road, Cheylesmore

Year 11                      School Hall

Year 12/13                 Meredith Road Baptist Church, Meredith Road

Pupils whose service is in school should arrive at normal time.  Pupils whose service is off site should arrive no earlier than 8.45am at the church for a 9.00am start.  Immediately after the service staff will escort pupils back to school.

Lessons will re-commence after break, which will be at approximately 10.30am – 10.50am, with shortened P2 and P3 normal timetable lessons – there will be no period 1.  Afternoon school will be as normal.

You are very welcome to join us for any of these services.  If you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me at school.

Yours faithfully

 C. Brammeier (Mrs)

School Origins

The original Blue Coat School was founded in 1714 as a charity school for girls close to Holy Trinity Church in the centre of the City. The pupils were a familiar sight to Coventrians in their distinctive uniform of dark blue dresses and capes with white caps and yellow mittens. The charity school closed in 1940.

Christian Education with Care

The life of this Christian School stems from the conviction that this is God’s world; saved by Jesus Christ and guided by the Holy Spirit.”

A SECURE FOUNDATION - “Rooted in Christ”

The school proclaims the good news of Christ. There is a careful attempt to build our life on this teaching in a way that is good educationally. We aim to promote the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development of all our pupils."
