Our Mission Statement

The Coventry Blue Coat Church of England School intends to prepare all its pupils for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of adult life by providing high quality “Christian Education with Care” in effective partnership with their families and their places of worship.

WE WILL STRIVE:-

  • To give pupils a knowledge of the love of God and His teaching, by helping them to understand the nature of faith and religious experience and by encouraging them to develop a personal faith, which will sustain them into their future life.
  • To maintain the closest possible links with parents and places of worship as an essential expression of the partnership between our families and the school.
  • To provide a stimulating curriculum which presents pupils with a wide variety of educational experience consistent with requirements of the National Curriculum and an understanding of the society in which they live.
  • To create a positive, caring atmosphere in which effort is commended, achievement valued and praised and all are encouraged to develop their abilities to the full.
  • To maintain an ordered, disciplined environment in which learning and good quality teaching can take place effectively.
  • To encourage pupils to take responsibility for the care of their environment and resources whilst developing a practical concern for others within and beyond the school.
  • To use our continuous system of pastoral care to develop relationships between staff and pupils which are warm and respectful and where each pupil is well known as an individual.
  • To welcome members of other faiths, to promote racial harmony and firmly oppose any form of discrimination.
  • To encourage pupils to see the need to respect authority and foster the development of self-discipline with a sense of responsibility.
  • To help pupils to develop lively and enquiring minds, physical and practical skills and an enthusiasm for learning which leads them to recognise education as a life-long process.
  • To develop the attributes of self-reliance, determination, motivation, perseverance and tolerance.
  • To provide pupils with sensitive, skilful guidance in their personal development and career opportunities, which will help them to consider their own potential and to set themselves goals which are achievable.
  • To prepare pupils for life, work and leisure in our ever changing society.
